The Department of Aviation shall be under the supervision of a department head to be known as the Director of Aviation, who shall be employed by the Board of Supervisors. The Director of Aviation shall perform those duties and exercise those powers delegated to him/her by aviation law, Federal Aviation Administration, Transportation Security Administration, Humboldt County Code Sections 265-1 et seq., and other acts of the legislature, and such other powers and duties as may be delegated by the Board of Supervisors.
