The County Surveyor shall perform all duties required or authorized to be performed by a County Surveyor under the laws of the State of California and the County Code. The County Surveyor may delegate to others the duties and authority of the County Surveyor, provided that the person(s) meets the qualifications in Section 246.5-3. When the laws of the State of California permit a duty to be performed by the County Surveyor or the Public Works Director/Road Commissioner, such duty shall be performed by the Public Works Director/Road Commissioner, who may delegate such duty to the County Surveyor.
