The Department of Planning and Building shall be under the supervision of a Department Head to be known as the Director of Planning and Building, who shall be employed by the Board of Supervisors. The Director of Planning and Building shall perform those duties and exercise those powers delegated to him/her by the Planning and Zoning Law and other acts of the legislature, and such other powers and duties as may be delegated by the Board of Supervisors.
