(a) The Board of Supervisors may take measures deemed necessary, after consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and/or the California Department of Fish and Game, to protect sensitive species and/or sensitive communities, pursuant to the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (ESA) and the California Endangered Species Act of 1984 (CESA). These measures shall include the adoption of reasonable rules and regulations for the protection and preservation of sensitive species. (Repealed and reenacted by Ord. 2265, § 1, 3/5/2002)

(b) No person in a park shall willfully remove, harm, disturb, harass, or in any other way “take” any sensitive species. (Repealed and reenacted by Ord. 2265, § 1, 3/5/2002)
