Notwithstanding any other provisions of the Code, the size of letter, numbers, and symbols for street and road signs shall be a minimum 4 inch letter height, 1/2 inch stroke, reflectorized, and contrasting with the background color of the sign. Wooden street and road signs meeting the standards for letter height, stroke, and contrast shall be permitted in all locations with an exception issued pursuant to Sections 3111-7 through 3111-10 of this ordinance.
