On July 10, 1984, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, duly made findings that there are special local conditions within specified areas of Humboldt County where modifications and changes of the standard regulations for limited density owner-built rural dwellings are reasonably necessary because of local climatic, geographical or topographical conditions. The rural housing construction standards adopted by this chapter are modifications to the standard building regulations otherwise applicable in Humboldt County and are adopted pursuant to Section 17958.5 of the Health and Safety Code.
