(a) Upon expiration of the time limits set forth in the Notice to Abate Nuisance, or in case of an appeal, within ten (10) calendar days after service of the Finding of Nuisance and Order of Abatement or such longer period as may be determined by the Hearing Officer, the Code Enforcement Unit shall acquire jurisdiction to correct or abate the condition or conditions causing the Nuisance on the affected Property. Unless an emergency situation exists, the Owner, Beneficial Owner, Occupier or any other person in charge or control of the affected Property shall be given at least ten (10) calendar days to correct or abate the condition or conditions causing the Nuisance. (b) The Planning Director, personally or through assistants so designated, is authorized to reduce and/or eliminate Administrative Costs and/or Attorney’s Fees and may enter into compliance agreement with Owner, Beneficial Owner, Occupier or any other person in charge or control of the property which reduce and/or eliminate Administrative Costs and/or Attorney’s Fees in exchange for compliance to correct or otherwise remedy the Violation to preserve the public health, safety, and welfare of the County residents.
