831-1. Franchises.
This division is comprised of ordinances dealing with franchises granted by the County of Humboldt. These ordinances are not codified. The ordinances listed hereafter authorize franchises which have not yet expired. They are as follows: (Ord. 1572, § 1, 12/21/1982)
(a) Ord. No. 168. Franchise to Natural Gas Corporation of California to lay pipelines - 50 years, 1930.
(b) Ord. No. 169. Franchise to Benbow Power Company to erect poles -50 years, 1931.
(c) Ord. No. 170. Franchise to William Fraser to lay water mains in the town of Weott - 50 years, 1931.
(d) Ord. No. 185. Franchise to Pacific Gas and Electric Company to erect poles for electricity - 50 years, 1936.
(e) Ord. No. 192. Franchise to Knapp and Dawley to lay pipelines in Garberville - 50 years, 1938.
(f) Ord. No. 204. Franchise to Pacific Gas and Electric Company to lay gas mains - 50 years, 1940.
(g) Ord. No. 397. Franchise to Pacific Gas and Electric Company to install and maintain poles - 50 years, 1961.
(h) Ord. No. 398. Franchise to Pacific Gas and Electric Company to install and maintain pipes - 50 years, 1961.
